Factory Bose Crossovers (2k2)
Factory Bose Crossovers (2k2)
Does the 2k2 Bose actually have a 2-way Xover installed somewhere for the fronts? Looking at Studmans color code chart, it does not list the front mids and tweeters seperately which leads me to believe there is a passive Xover hidden somewhere. Also, the front drivers side output, as listed (blue+white/Blue+yellow) matches the color codes for the tweeter wires, but the front Pass side tweeter wires are actually white/black instead of brown/brown+white.
I am wanting to tap into the factory harness in the trunk instead of running new wires for the fronts.
Help?

Would have been cheaper and less stressful to pay someone else to do it. Now if I can only find a easy way to run the door wire, get my Quart 6.5" mids to actually fit, and a place to hide the Musicomps and I'll be close
by a Maxima.... <sigh>
i feel you. i did this install and it took 4ever. i wish i knew what i was doing the 1st time. this is why i say... drill! drill in the door and the car to run the wire to the h/u. makes it alot easier. and for the speaker.. if the magnet is too big, buy a 1" spacer kit from BB,CC or make it out of mdf. then drill holes in the door 2 get the speakers in.

Yeah....I simply don't have the patience to do it anymore. The power wire, and RCA's are all waiting for the enclosure install. No drilling needed when I ran the power. I have the new tweeters resting peacefully in their new homes and my pre-amp/EQ is installed and ready. Since I have limited time to do this and a whole bunch more stuff waiting in line, I'm gonna bite the bullet and drop the car off for the front speakers to be installed and wired up (let the younger guys take care of it). 10pm on Sunday night is late enough for me in the garage...
Damn shame nobody local had an ISO dash kit avail today or I'd have a new CD HU....

Thanks. It should not cost much for them to simply throw in some speakers and connect it to the amp. I just picked up another 6CD HU for $235 delivered, so that problem should be resolved in a couple of days as well...
