Alarm with PMS...

Hey all, my aftermarket alarm is very moody. It's a Commando (yes i know CHEAP) and I had some local guy install it about 4 yrs ago. Recently, in about the last year or so, it will only work from about 2ft away from the car. It used to unlock from about 100yds AT LEAST.

I have changed the batteries several times and still doesn't get any better. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at wits end now with this thing.

Thanks for any replies,
drew

Have u tinted the windows since the install? You might want to position the antenna closer to the highest most visible spot on the front windshild.

What kind of fogs are those on your homepage? Do they work well at night?

Yes they work great! Adds about 200% more light to the headlights at night. Bright as he!! I think they are made by Pilot and I bought them from Advance. I had to take them off because inspection in VA failed them because they aren't DOT approved. BS I think. But anywho... Wanna buy em? I paid just under $50 for them. PM me if your interested.

I had the alarm installed after my windows were tinted. So, that isn't the issue. The receiver was located under my headliner with the antenna sticking out. It used to work fine in that location. I moved it to the center of my dash close to the windsheild. I'm about to just give up, it's been about 4yrs like I said so I guess its about time for a new one anyway... Right???

I'm broke right now so I'm not trying to buy anything with the money I get. I'll be looking for a part time job soon and then getting a new y-pipe and O2 sensors first before anything else

Just started making the list of things to buy and fogs are one of them
