I am about to install a bluetooth hands free kit in my 2001 se. I was wondering, first of all, if anyone out there has installed one. I'm also not sure if the stereo system has a mute wire. I've got the stock non-Bose version. Also, I'm worried if I disconnect the battery, then I'll need to enter the code to get the stereo to work again. I don't have the code, unfortunately. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know about the mute wire, but I've disconnected my battery on my '03 multiple times and never had to do anything to the stock non-bose HU, and that included disconnecting the HU once or twice.

I'm going to be putting in a handsfree kit soon, I'll look in my service manual this afternoon and see if I can find a mute wire...
