Audio fuse keeps blowing...

The 15 amp audio fuse keeps blowing under my hood ever since I changed my battery, and had to replace the 140 amp fusable link. Right now, I've only got a 120 amp fuse in there, because nissan has them for 17 dollars, and i dont want to spend that if its not going to solve my problem.

Ever since i replaced the battery, the audio fuse blows like nothing. I cant even get it in there without it blowing. Would the problem be that its not a 140 amp fusable link? Only the audio fuse keeps popping, nothing else. All the fuses under the dash board are fine related to audio, so I am completely lost. Any help would be great

We checked the wiring, and determined there is a short in the wire. Now how do we go about solving that problem? Is there a wiring diagram anywhere i can check out?

grab a voltmeter and start going at it . service manuals can either have great wiring diagrams or terrible ones. chilton's is decent for diagrams if you're looking to buy a manual.

is it possible that one of the amps blew? my dad is an electronic engineer, and he thinks that could be the problem. We took the volt meter, and went to town on several different wires and everything. The audio fuse is reversed it seems under the hood, positive on one side, negative on the other, when every other fuse is vice versa. kinda weird. But he thinks one of the amps blew, causing this to happen. Is that possible?

to see if they're blown, try taking the amps out and hooking them up directly to the battery (fused, of course) and see if they get power

I located the rear amps, and those seem to be fine, so we determined that it could be the front amps. Are they in the door panels?
