ok im not really good or familiar with the audio world in cars... i am looking to add a sub to my bose system without changing anything that is in there already... i want to add a sub that produces a tight bass that doesnt rumble... i do not want crazy loud or anything... just something that is louder than what i have now... i know i have to get an amp and a woofer and a box... i was told that a bandpass box is the best for the tight sounding bass... and i like how it looks so i would want that... then i think i want 2 10" cause i think the smaller the diameter the tighter it would be? right? just guessing so lemme know if true or not... and also i would like to know what kind of amp to use? also i like the ones that have the plexi glass on them cause they look cool... but if they are horrible then i mean its not a must... i am not looking to spend a fortune on them but just wanna get something that will make me happy... please let me know what u guys think will help me. thanks a lot

Just get an amplified 8" bass tube they sell them at most of the car audio stores and they are pretty good for that extra little bass and they will not make your car rattle and shake.

You could get a small amp and 1 10" sub that will give you some good bass. I recomend MTX stuff, Kicker is good too.

The bandpass box will provide louder bass, but it will not be as accurate as a sealed enclosure. I would recommend speakers from Kicker or Phoenix Gold. Get one that uses little airspace and retofit the box to bolt to the existing bose opening. The box can be made rectangular and shallow so it will not eat up space under the rear deck. I have done this to a friends Mercedes and it works great, Also having the box secured to the rear deck will reduce rattles and the likelyhood of movement in the trunk.
