Burned CD's

This could just be a dumb newbie question but I have a 02 Maxima with premiun sound and in the owners manual it mentions not to play cd-r's. Almost every other stereo I know you can play them so I am a bit perplexed. I have read that there are problems getting cd's stuck in the 6 disk changer and do not want to risk that. How many of you regularly use cd-r's and how has that been for you. THanks.

My car also had a stock unit and they say that because most burned cds also come with labels that are some times thick or not easy to slide...but if you have a cdr without labels you should be ok i did for like 6 months until i got rid of my stock unit...
