97 Bose system in my Max. I bought the car 6 weeks ago and for a month the player was good, but then it would sometimes skip (regardless of CD or bouncing). This issue would go on and off. Well now when I put a CD in it just says CD Err, and I'm unable to listen to anything. Is there any fix for this? I can't imagine there is, but I had to check...If not I'll have to get a cd changer with an FM transmitter or something, since I can't be bothered to rip this out Thanks!

 

Check out the 4th gen HowTo's and look for hte BOSE fix.

 

It's a sign to get rid of the Blose.
