How would this work on a 5th Gen? I guess you could somehow find the wire from a relay that causes the horn to honk and hook it up to a different sound source. I would rather here a chirp than a horn. Any suggestions?

Here ya go..

Obviously, your factory keyless is sending a pulse to the signals to flash them..

What you need to do is trace that wire that feeds into the signals...Attache a diode to this wire... run the wire to a relay, which in turn hooks up to the horn...

The diode will prevent your signals from turning on when you honk the horn, or your horn going off when your signals are flashing... But wit hthe keyless, it will just beep..
