I don't enter my car for SPL or sound quality. I just need to run the system at moderate volume with accessory lights. ie. parking lights, neon lights. My system consist of JL audio 500/1 and 300/4.

Would a 30amp work if I keep the battery connected? What if I have to disconnect my battery?

in the specifications parts of the manuals for your equipment it will give power consumption ratings add them all together to get an idea of what youll need as for leaving the battery connected or not im not to familiar with this power supply so cant say much there. from what i read the battery might buffer surges like a cap would do.good luck
