Ok. I have 2 10'' mtx 5000s will a little 250x mtx amp runnin em. So u thinkin now oo thats a small amp i dont know waht would be wrong. But believe it or not the small amp is like drainin my whole car. The headlights are dimmin the interior lights dim, the lights on the cd player actually blink on and off when the subs hit. Also when i make sharp turns or hit the breaks the sub and amp shut off for like a second, also when i leave my fingers on the power windows to roll them all the way down the subs shut off again. Im tryin to figure out what i should do, whether i should get a yellow optima battery or get a capacitor. I would gladly buy a optima but i just got my battery replaced and i dont wanna spend 140 to get another one. So i was wondering if a 1.0 farad cap would solve my problems. Thanks.

Did you ground everything right?
Maybe your alternator can't keep up.
I have never heard of such a small amp draining your whole car.

What size power and ground wire did you use to hook this up? What terminations did you use? Where did you take power from? The battery? Where did you ground the amp?

I need to hear more about your install to determine what the problem is. This should not be happening. Also are your subs 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm and are you wiring them to the amp in stereo or bridged mode?
