Opinions on MA Audio...

Hey ppls, I just bought CDT CL6a component set that thezeb.com had on sale and CL6x for rear. I'm trying to decide on an amplifier. I was searching, and I read that the MA Audio amps are pretty good and they don't heat up as much as other leading brands. This will be going under my seat so I will need one that is small and won't get hot.

I was thinking about the HK-297
Then I saw the M283i that was a little cheaper. Do I really need to pay the extra $40-$50 for the first one or is it really not needed. It looks to me that the only difference is that the HardKore series looks prettier.

Thanks alot,
drew

I would go with the HK series before the M series. I used the M series in an install I did for a friend and they do get a little warm, but the HK should stay cooler due to the case design. They are decetn for the money. IF you are interested, PM me and I might be able to get a good price on them for you

I have your same setup in speakers. I have a JBL 80.4 that gives 80 watts rms to each speaker. The amp doesn't get hot at all. Plus you can price match the amp from www.etronics.com to www.sounddomain.com to get a full warranty.

JBL are good stuff. I used to run them also in my car. The 80.4 is only 40x4 at 4ohms though, not 80x4
