OK.

I'm at the end of my rope. My THIRD attempt to get my dash to look good has again failed.

We got custom vinyl die to match the grey part of the dash. The dude worked really hard to carve out an ABS piece that would fit over the bracket.

It looks OK, but nowhere near EXCELLENT.

I have spent over $500 trying to make this dash look good, no winner yet.

Please PLEASE tell me somewhere around Boston there is a true crafstman who could make my dash look AWESOME. STOCK. Like the piece around the (double-din) headunit BELONGS THERE, FITS, RIGHT, TIGHT, LOVELY, PERFECT. The right colors, a tight snug strong fit. Blends into everything else perfectly... So that people get in the car and think it looks stock... I just want the dash piece to look consistent and very attractive. The interior of my car looks pretty damn nice, but this dash piece looks fairly chintsy and plastic. It looks like an Infiniti.. with a dash piece from an old Cavalier.

AM I ASKING TOO MUCH??????

I e-mailed ya back, thanks man.

I want perfect. Like I want someone to get in the car and have the dash look like a freakin' Infiniti dash.

Seems like too much to ask I guess... all these pros who build high-end systems for Ferraris and Benzes etc. and they are all likely on the west coast -- I need to find someone around here who can do the BEST work with the BEST materials and who is a true craftsman....

Wish I could help more, but the best help I can give is a company on 10th. Ave and I believe 25th St. in Manhattan. They are kinda cocky for my tastes, but they did a Ferrari (I believe) F40 or what ever the top one in the US is (can't keep up with them) and they had it published in on of the car stereo mags about 2 years ago. They do alot of custom work, including alligator upolstery, and i've seen a bit of their work and they were top notch. Here is the address and phone #. Hope this helps, as I know you are in Maine, not NYC, but maybe it's a start.

Thanks man, I'm actually now in touch with some Boston guys who apparently have won like dozens of awards. www.cartunes.com .. I dropped them an e-mail and want to see what they say. Their install work on their site looks great... and their philosophy great... and they're only like a little over an hour from here, so ..
