Adding XM to 1996 Maxima Bose Stereo
Adding XM to 1996 Maxima Bose Stereo
Does anyone know if the 96 Bose stereo has an aux input that I can tap into? I want to add XM radio but prefer not to use the cassette adapter or the FM modulator.
My '02 Acura TL-S Bose system has an AUX input that I can tap into with a Blitz Safe adapter, so I thought maybe the Maxima has a similar thing.
Thanks in advance.

I am wondering if the Bose head unit in the 1996 Maxima has a AUX input that I can plug the XM radio signal into? Rather than use the FM modulator or cassette adapter.
My 99 Bose has no such aux input, only input for CD Changer. Someone on the org once designed an electrical adapter for this purpose, that plugged into the CD Changer jacks, but I know of no such thing being available anymore.
I am using the wired FM modulator now. Its not bad, but I would expect the sound quality to be better if you could avoid this modulating/demodulating. I have no answer for you on how though.
