Amps under the seats...

my brother in law had a shop mounts his 4 channel amp under his passenger seat. I really like this idea. They used a long bolt through the bottom of the car and put a nut underneath the car. Basically if you want the amp, you have to pull out the seat and get a wrench from the bottom and the top (very unlikely you will get it stolen) this is pretty theft proof. My question is, anyone done this with power seats? his are manual...I really want to do this.

Nto sure hopw much room is available under the seats for an install like this, but if there is room, then go for it. Not sure you have to go throught the floorpan like they did, cause someone would still have to take out the seat to get the amp out.

not sure...one thing I just remembered I have a A/C vent under my seat, so that should keep the amp cool under there.
