Sony amps used to be good. They dropped the Mobile ES line, and it's been downhill from there. I loved my old 2 channel sony amp (One of the purple ones)...
You should probably look into getting a sub mono amp (Higher efficiency). And you can run the dual subs in parallel to get the 2ohm load. A lot of 2 channel amps will not do 2 ohm stable bridged.
Check out the JBL600.1, should be able to get them for cheap, since it is an old model line. You can run the 2x pioneer subs 600x1 2ohms. I have the amp running a single Polk db10, it's nice and was only $220.
If you are still dead set on a sony, check out the XM-D500X mono amp which puts out 500W x 1 @ 2 ohms and only costs $159.95 at Cardomain.com.

I dont recommend 2ch class a/b's to run @ 2ohm mono- some will work but eventually overheat and go into protect
Class D is the way to go on stock alternators- assuming you will run another a/b to your fronstage, thats alot of current draw
My Kicker ZR360 did fine although I credit it to its generous amount of heatsinks
My brother just copped RF Power 8002 2ch and its stable @ 2ohm mono -at a whopping 52% efficiency
I say a kicker Kx600.1 would be good choice without
hurting the wallet- I must say this suggestion is somewhat biased
