ohm questions....

matts high current puts out 1200watts@.67ohms anyone know about what it'll put out at .5ohms??

I could figure that out, but I'd have to ask a professor for sure, but the important part is not what it puts out, but what OHM level the amp is still stable.

If you drop the resistance through the speakers too much, your amp will shutdown or go into protect mode to prevent it from frying itself. If the amp can run at 1/2Ohms, then it's cool, but make sure you have the speakers wired correctly to yield the bare minimun stability rating of the amp, or else you could damage the speakers and/or amp.

I've got a friend that has a couple of factory modified D300HC amps that will do 2000Wrms.
