Car Alarm
Since you are looking for an alarm, maybe you can explain this to me. Why get an alarm? Why not get some sort of vehicle location device, like lojack, and/or an ignition cutoff system, which I think we already have.
Does anyone ever look when an alarm goes off? No. They think, "turn that damn thing off!" Maybe I'm just looking at this wrong.

Lojack cost's about $600... my deductable is $500 ..
It does not make any sense to install low jack.
A Alarm with a proximity sensor or a pager will alert me if the car is tempered with. such as a door bang, some punk wants to steal my radio's.
offcourse is someone is going to take the whole car, no alarm will matter, and most theifs can disable lojack but cutting the power to it, like alarms.
Need a good audiable alarm with good sensors to protect car... and a pager would be nice too..
And.. if my car is stolen, i dont want to recover it. Repairs alone will cost me more ...
