all you need is a wiring harness and a interface converter for your bose which can be found at most quality audio shops.

If I were you, (if you got a decent head unit i.e. pioneer, alpine, something that can power speakers well), then I would just pick up some cheap speakers on ebay. You can pick up Alpine Type S for like $50 a pair.

You will need the wiring harness, either the bose converter or new speakers, and a pocket to go below the aftermarket radio to fill the gap.

Any audio shop, best buy, or circuit city will have all these.

thanx for the info guys~ i called circuit city and best buy near my house. best buy is charging me around $85 and around $180 at circuit city. does that sound about right or rip off? maybe i should order parts from crutchfield for dash pocket and wiring harness and install it myself.

well being that i work for circuit city, i can tell you what they probably charged you for and what their prices are

Bose Adapter~50
Pocket for below radio-17.99
Antenna Adapter-12.99
Wiring harness-16.99
Installation-50.99

It depends on how they wanted to do the install whether theyd use a 2nd harness, but if they did it would come out almost to 180.

It is physically impossible that best buy was half price. The places where youre gonna get charged alot are the install (it would be free if you bought the radio from circuit city) and the bose adapter. Ask best buy exactly what they are charging you for.

Like i said, your best bet is to get some cheap speakers on ebay, and find someone on the org who knows how to install, and can bypass the bose amps, or i can tell you how its not hard at all.

If you have the Bose speakers, you DO NOT have to use a $60 convertor.. you can use the preouts on your new aftermarket HU and wire it up that way and save a lot of money.. Why does everyone insist that you need this damn convertor?? Its a waste of $50-60 that you can use for some other mod.

Basically, he is saying to use preouts because they are unamplified, so you will essentially still use only the bose amps. I did this once, with just RCA to speaker wire converters on a pioneer deck, and somehow, even cranked as loud as it could go, it wasnt nearly where it should be.

IMO you should spend the $100 and get Type S or Infinity Reference or some other cheap but decent speakers on ebay.

You need to buy a PAC adaptor, go to www.pac-audio.com and find out what you need. Hit me back and I'll hook you up with your correct part.

They have an adpaotor that allows you to add an aftermarket head unit to a Nissan Bose system.
