diamond audio guys

im starting a new setup, getting rid of all the audiobahn. just doesnt match the car. right now ive got a 12" M3D2 sub and im currently looking for my amps to run the subs and mids/highs. i just built a custom box. its just a normal vented box, but i built it! so its great!. im planning on either building a false or faux floor, and placing the amps under that with plexi over it, or mounting the amps on the sides of the trunk walls with plexi over them
what do u guys think would look the best

and to the diamond guys, which amp would be good to run the m3, im running this until i can get enough for an m6, thanks

and heres a picture of the custom box

What are the specs to that box? Whats it tuned for? DA does have a design that specifically made for their subs....Which I can fax to you if you want.

What is your budget for an amp? The D3600.1 would match it.

the box is not tuned, but its very similar to a Memphis box, which my local DA dealer uses on all their set ups so im guessing its good enough. i was looking at that amp, but i kinda want something with a little more power, im getting the sub cheap, so i want to save up some money and get a TDX 12", and go with either a D5 series amp or even a D7. i just have to see the income for me in the next couple months.

and yes, i must have them match, no offense to all that mix and match, but its just not my style. i like everything to match and plus, when u match, most of the time they are made for each other, so it will sound better than mix/matching

P.S. Did I mention nice design on the box already???

P.P.S. Did you remember to file down the edges of that port so that thing doesn't whistle? It's hard to tell from the photo you posted.

being that its a vented box, it must be tuned to something...

Also with that being said, guessing that it would work isnt really a good idea. Subs in vented boxes tend to be a bit more sensitive. Meaning wrong tuning could lead to a bad sub. Not flaming, just dont wanna see you blowing subs.

Pearl96max,

Your right about vented enclosures. Here is good info that will help anyone that is considering fabricating a vented enclosure.
