A couple of questions

1. Im planning to buy a new battery soon and was thinking about an optima battery cause my engine bay needs some color as well better than stock performance. I know theres like 3 different optima batteries: red, yellow, and blue top?? Can someone tell me what type would best suit me?? I'm running a moderate/high powered stereo as well as an UDP if that matters. Oh yea, would I be able to use a racing/lightweight battery and still have the performance of an optima? What are some of the names of those??

2. Also planning to get a grounding kit. Any recommendations?? Are those generic ones off ebay worth it?

3. Alarm system: what are some of those alarms that have a built in pager?? Im sometimes forced to park in a bad area and would definately benefit from having one of these. What are some good all-around alarms (around the $350-400 or less range)

Thanks in advance

I use a red top optima 800 CCA, but the best optima is the "Group 31" yellow top. Keep in mind there are now 2 optima yellow top battery's available. The "Group 31" is 900 CCA & the normal yellow top is only 650 CCA. Only reason I didn't buy the "Group 31" was it wasn't out yet. So I went with a red top because it had more CCA's the the normal yellow top. If you don't want to get a Optima, there is another company called Odyssey & they also make dry cell marine battery's. These are 1700 cranking amp's, not to be confused with CCA.

As far as the grounding kit, I would make my own. If you don't want to do this, just buy which ever one is the cheapest. They all basically do the same thing. The nismo kit on ebay looks nice!!!

Alpine, Clifford & Viper all make alarm systems that can page you. If I'm not mistaken I think the new Viper alarm can even pinpoint what section of your car was tampered with to set off the alarm (front driver door, trunk, hood etc.)

For the grounding kits, try PM Matt93se. He makes grounding kits for many maxima generations.

Check out optimabatteries.com.

According to their website, yellow top batteries are best suited for people with lots of electrical equipment (read loud stereos). I just purchased a regular yellow top and couldn't be happier...of course by old OEM battery was starting to die, so the difference was night and day.
