Hey guys. I need some advice. I got a cool idea, Im 90% sure it could work, if i give it an afternoon or two and some elbow grease. I stripped out the Center Dash Console, leaving only the Climate control spot and vent. I Stripped out the Center Console Cup holders. so theres an open spot there, and a little more then 2 dins worth of space in the dash.
The Idea is to Mount my Head unit In the Cup holder space. And Mount a Lightning Globe in the Dash spot. If this is already infeasible, let me know lol. The Head unit Can fit. I just need to lift it about 1" up, and itll fit nicely without being in the way at all. The problem is, I need to stretch the harness wires from the dash, ziptie it off by the shifter, and run it to the headunit. Is there a way to "extension cord" the wires so it can meet the headunit in the cupholder spot?.
The next question is, If the Lightning globe needs a wall jack House type power outlet, what do i use to power it in the car? Is there a way to Hardwire it in? or what. Thanks in advance
