About Bose...

my max doesn't have any bose unit. I have a question..what's the size of the speakers on my door? are they 6.5"? can I replace them with 6.5" bose speakers? Will that sound better than nonbose stock?...thx..

No, you can't replace your stock non bose speakers with bose ones. The Bose speakers run on a different impedence than almost all other speakers. Plus, it won't sound that good either. Just some nice aftermarket speakers would sounds 10X better.


Alot of people have bad things to saya bout their bose. (including myself)

GO AFTERMARKET!!!

thx...i'm not a fan on audio system...coz i just saw a ebay auction with 4x6.5" 2004 maxima bose speakers for only 20 bucks starting bid... I'll just live with my stock audio setup.

oh, in that case, those speakers are not the right size... Plus the Ohms are different.

BOSE sucks azz! Buy aftermarket: Diamond Audio, JLAudio, Rockford Fosgate, MBQuart, etc.. BOSE is a nothing more than a marketing scam.

dont get BOSE, it sucks!!!i got 38k miles and the only fu*king problems comes from my BOSE system

guys i have a question, if i have bose can i get it out, i dont want bose anymore... or anyone knows how i fix my problems with my speakers?

You will need to gut the entire system, I believe. Bose had mini-amplifiers attached to each speaker. All other systems do NOT work like this (another Bose thinks they are right while everyone else is wrong). It would be better to run aftermarket wire anyways.

As much as people bash the bose system, it is a good system from factory and compared to other factory cars. It is certainly not the best, but not the worst like many claim. You're best off going aftermarket though...you'll get more for your money.

He has an 03. If they are anything like my 01 bose, there is a 4 channel amp in the trunk. I still had to gut the entire system when I replaced it myself.
