Got my Brahma MK1 working...

And that thing sounds so clean...very tight and punchy bass. It seems to blend in better than my Fosgate HEs 10s.

Only problem is, the damn tinsel leads are slapping against the cone and it's pretty noticeable during certain frequencies. I remember reading somewhere that there's a fix for this problem. Does anyone know where/how to fix this issue?

Glue a small piece of soft foam on the back of the cone where the leads are slapping. If you are worried about gluing anything to the cone, just use double sided tape.

Acouple of threads I found about tinsel slap. It sounds like the problem will continue until the tinsel leads are integrated into the spider. Post up your results when you have and what you try please.

Thanks for the replies. I think Adire corrected the problem with the Mark II Brahmas. But in any case, I'll try those methods and see how well they work. It's just embarassing when you pop the trunk and all your hear is the vibration of the wires hitting the cone instead of clean bass

Its a dumb problem that Adire fixed for the MKII but just do what others say, use foam and put it either on the cone, or just around the wires and your good to go.

yeah i'll try to put some foam near the leads. as for spl...definately louder than my 10s. i had my remote bass **** at the halfway point with my tens, but i get similar output, if not louder, when the **** is at the lowest setting with the brahma.
