1990 maxima sound question

yo i just bought a sick black 90 maxima yesterday, but the stock bose system is messed up. the head unit turns on and the lcd works etc but the speakers and their individual amps are all busted.

what are the dimensions for the speakers in a 90 maxima w/ the bose setup cuz i wanna get a similar aftermarket system

how much would a decent aftermarket sound system cost all together. what systems are recommended?

thanx

your doors will have 4 in and your rear 6 by9. I have a pair of Kenwood 4 in speakers I could sell you if you're interested. Congrats on getting a max.

James92SE sells speaker pods that you can mount 6.5" speakers into your doors with no clearance issues.

You should also reference some wiring diagrams, because the bose is wired different than most aftermarket set ups, due to the "each speaker has it's own amp" set up.

If you are going aftermarket, you might as well get them. You have more options, including the ability to get very high quality component speakers.

Most guys get those in the front, a good sub (or subs) and use the 6x9s in the rear deck for fill in.
