Crutchfield is giving me a headache. Opinions needed

Can some one tell me whats a good front and rear door speaker replacement. I checked out crutchfield and they are listing the fronts to be 6 3/4 and the rears to be 5 1/4. What I was looking at was the Kicker 02k65 and k525 models. If someone has any other suggestions. Please let me have it I want to have something that can replace the factory speakers and will not need any modifications. I'm looking to replace the BoseHU with a Pioneer 940MP but use the factory amp with these new speakers. Need to wait till next spring to redo everything as it's getting damn cold these nights to do anything

thanks!

Did you have to do anything to the door at all to get them to fit or it was just swaping them in and bolt them dow? Mind if I ask which ones you got?

thanks

everything is 6.5. kicker isnt really a company known for their interior speakers but if youv eheard them and like them then go with it. I have all infinity plus a set of pioneer tweeters and couldnt be happier. (infinity componets in the front and 6.5 coaxil in the rear with the pioneer tweeters in the front and infinity component tweeters in the rear) all of it is the reference series

So the infinity's went in with no modifications needed to the door speaker brackets? This would be great if that is the case. I will be using the existing BOSE amp to power the new speakers, will I have any problems with it? I will be using a Pioneer 940MP HU --> PAC --> BOSE AMP -->Infinity speakers. I will eventually take the BOSE amp out and rewire everything but that'll be next year when it's nice and warm to do. If anyone sees any problems this setup or suggestions. Please let me know.

Thanks.

Henry, I don't think that you can use the Bose amp to drive the aftermarket speakers. You're better off getting the headunit and the PAC to use your current Bose speakers until the spring where you would get an amp and speakers.

yea dont think the bose amp can power aftermarket speakers, if it can its not powerful enough to make a differnce between those and your new headunit, use the pioneer headunit and make ur life easier

I think eighter way you'll have to mod unless you use the plastic holster that the oems came in, because the aftermarket will have to be drilled to the door metal. 6.5 all around 2002 max..

hmmm, looks like I got what I needed to know. I think I'll just slap the Pioneer HU with the PAC in and just make due with the Bose amp/speakers till spring comes around or at least warm enough to do work outside in driveway. I guess I at least have time to research more on cabin speakers. I'll be using my old Rockford 800x4 amp. I guess I'll have alot of options of what to use interior wise thanks everyone for the help. I am never going into chat with them Crutchfield online techs ever again... LOL
