where to run power wire?
I'm running 4 gauge power wire to my amps in the trunk, where is the best place to run all those wires - power, rca, leads, and such? I'm planning on drilling a hole in the firewall.
I am thinking about running it through the console area past the stick [5 spd] and down through the carpet [towards the back of the console area there's some room to drop wires out], then across the seat into the back.

run your power wire down the drivers side of your car and the rest is up 2 you. people say that you should seperate the wires and not run them togeather but thats your call i ran my RCA and lead wire down the center consol and it was easy enough to run there
You shouldn't have to drill a hole in the firewall for the 4 gauge. At least in my 98 there is a grommet in the driver side fender well. Just remove the plastic covering behind the wheel and you will see it towards the bottom. I put 4 gauge through there fine. Be sure to use another grommet to protect your wire from grounding on the metal there though.

You should be running the remote wire with the power. You should NOT be running RCA's with power.
I ran my power along the DS and the RCA's along the passenger side.
And yes, the best way to run 4AWG is from the inside fender well. Take a look at the pics of my car located here:
