alpine makes quality merchandise

just one thought...it will be good quality, features and specs I'm unsure of, but rest assured if you buy alpine you will get at the very least a well thought out, and well made product..IMO&E...may not be the very best...but much farther from being anywhere near the worst

why don't you spend half as much and get a 7" microvision in your dash?
for half the price, you can get :
7" microvision lcd
single din HU
car dvd/mp3/cd/cdr/vcd player
fm modulator.

I got one and i love it. check out pg2 on my homepage.

yeah i'd get a screen and single din dvd headunit. i would go with a farenheit or similar screen tho. You'd be spending much much less and i think it would look a lot better. and if your going to spend $1500 on just a dvd player and screen i would buy a touchscreen lcd and put a carputer in my car with all my mp3's, videos, and later on gps, dvd, and wireless internet. You would also probably still be spending much less if you went with a carputer. atleast thats what i would do if i had to do it all over again. do it right the first time.

You definately would be spending less to go with a carputer. This is what I've put in my Max so far for a little over $1500 CDN:

Stereo:
$475 - JVC KD-SH9750
$150 - Dominator 4x160w amp
$129 - Audicontrol Epicenter
$39 - Wildcat 6.5" seperates
$20 - Used RF series-1 12"
$40 - Bandpass box for 12"
Carputer:
$189 - Used Dell SFF P3-667,128Mb,10G
$199 - Mobile Authority 7"
$29 - Coleman 400w inverter
$50 - Used ATI All-In-Wonder 128
$50 - ATI Remote Wonder
$29 - Mini USB Handheld trackball
$20 - Mini 4-port USB hub
$159 - MS Streets and Trips 2005 with GPS receiver

So for about the same price as that HU alone, I can basically do whatever I want. Mp3's, dvd's, gps, play games, watch tv, whatever.
