possible blown speaker

I just got some subs installed and I think I blew out one of my 6.5 in the rear deck. I get this kind of weird rattle that i didn't hear the first days andit sounds like a buzz kinda. When I turn the volume down I can hear it really well. What are signs that I've blown my 6.5 ? can I keep listening to music with a blown speaker? PS: I have a wall up so I haven't had a chance to check if its blown I will do that when I get the time.
