@-@ for a wireless remote module!
I post on the 4th gen also. See if I can get more feedbacks.
Like the title said, i'm looking for a wireless remote module. Yes, aftermarket alarm w/ remote starter, starter kill will be sufficient. I don't need that. Is an over kill for me. What i'm looking for is just a standalone wirelless remote module. Here's my story. My brother-in-law has manual pop-up trunk. Inorder to open the trunk, he needs a key or pull the latch from the driver sider. Therefore, I want to install the module on his car and remotely open it. He doesn't mind the extra remote.
Anyone know any cheap/ standalone wireless remote module?
Any links and info is appreciate.
thanks

Ebay carries all sorts of modules for trunk release, window roll-up, radar, and other things. Check in the consumer electronics area. Or you can pm Pearl96Max, aka Don. He's a moderator that sells car audio.

you need a trunk pop solenoid. dei makes one that i've installed in a few cars and it works great. model# is 522t. it comes with the solenoid and a pushbutton. if you want to use a remote, you're going to have to pick up a cheap keyless entry system with an aux channel you can use to trigger the trunk pop.

Yeah, that's what I figure. He needs a solenoid and a simple keyless remote unit. I'm not going to get the DEI 522T. I heard all the good stuff about it, but I have no experience with the unit. The way to go is EBay. I'll order the stuff and see what I can do with it.
