How much power should I run throught this sub? It is rated at 400RMS but I have been looking online seeing that people run more than this. I want to get an Alpine MRD-M501 rated at 550x1RMS but think it might be a little too much even thought I have heard people on other sites reccomend it.

What are your opinions? I only want a single 12in by the way.

550 to one u will be fine especially in a sealed box. As always just set your gains properly and u will have no worries.
