Howdy All:
I hope there are a couple of you that might know this.
I started the install of my JL Stealthbox in my 96 Maxima. Not the easiest part of my install I am finding. I got the top allen bolt started and am now trying to get the bottom bolt in. The instructions say to use the 3 1/2" bolt and I am having trouble getting this to go in. The hole ends up right in the frame rail and I can get the bolt inside it to start but am wondering if this is the way this should go. Will the bolt go to far into the stealthbox?? I am figuring at least 3" will go into the stealthbox this way. Is the bolt supposed to go into the bottom of the frame rail then have a couple of inches in the frame rail leaving about 1 1/2" to go into the stealthbox?? Should I maybe use the small test bolt that they included instead??
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. My car is sitting in the driveway with the gas recovery unit still hanging on the ground till I get this finished.
Best regards, tony
