why is it nearly impossible to get a viper installed?

why is it nearly impossible to get a viper installed?

seriously though, why is it so hard to find anyone willing to install a new Viper 791 on my 4th gen?

Because they have to be an authorized installer.

for the alarm to keep its warranty, it has to be installed by an authorized dealer. if you already bought the alarm from a non-authorized dealer just have it istalled by one, if you haven't bought it, go to best buy or circuit city and buy it there, they include the installation on the price of the alarm. they might not be the cheapest but you know you can take it back to them if it ever fails

true. i got the alarm. took it to circuit city, they refuse because they "dont install vipers anymore" and im not paying best buy 250 to install it. i mean, even the locals dont even want to do it anymore. they didnt have a reason.

The 'locals' dont want to do it because it didnt come from them. Theyre of course taking a risk and going against DEIs 'rules' of not installing them. ALL Viper/Clifford/Python are to be sold AND installed by a dealer. If you have it in your possesion already, then obviously you got it through improper routes and already voided your LifeTime warranty.
