4 12's mounting

hey, i dont know the correct name for it but i think it is called Iso set but it is when you have one speaker facing another one with like an inch or 2 gap.. one speaker is in the box and the other is out ....

What are the positives and negatives of this style box

The only real advantage of using an isobaric or compound loaded setup is that you can use a box where Vb will be half that of just one driver. If wired up in a push pull config. you will get less distortion, but in a car I doubt you could tell the difference. Sensitivity will be the same so if you send it the same power as you would a single driver it will be just as loud.

Isobaric setups make sense when drivers require enormous Vb, but modern car drivers typically perform just fine in really small boxes so it's usually not necessary to compound load them.
