I am sorry you have Bose...it gives everyone nothing but problems. The dealer will probably try and screw you, and what sucks is that other head units won't work as well with the Bose amps as the Bose head unit will. Furthermore, shops are going to charge you an arm and a leg for a Bose rewire, which on our cars is very easy. If you cant find a used Bose deck on the org or ebay cheap, and the dealer tries to screw you, you might be out of luck. It all depends how much you want to spend, because with the right radio and 4 speakers, you can get a sound much better than Bose will ever give you. If you are willing to go the ebay route, plan on spending about 150 for a head unit and 175 total for 1 pair components and 1 pair coaxials. If you have a spare day, I can give you step by step instructions on taking off the doors and dash, if not, go on the regional forum for where you are located and find someone who can do it cheap. Thats your best bet.

There is a $50 adapter Scosche makes, to tone down the output of the aftermarket radio so it will be more compatible with the Bose speakers.

But you will also lose your steering wheel controls, and that is another $50 adapter. That also goes for any aftermarket radio you get.

Just things to consider.

Yeah my CD player is skippy and screwy when the car is cold. If anyone has seen any of my other posts, they'd know that I too agree this Bose SUCKS!!!! I HATE IT!!!!! I'm not exaggerating when I say sometimes I honestly wish I had my '97 Maxima back just because of the Bose in that. Some songs sound okay to good in the I35, but then some of my favorites sound awful. I can't blare "With or without you" (Which is like my fav song ever) because the whole thing rattles and sounds like sh*t. The 4gen Bose setup is outstanding, I don't care what anyone says. I miss the hell out of it.

Its amazing that Infiniti has done nothing about this problem. I am a V.E.T. when it comes to having this problem. (Currently I am on my 3rd Bose h.u. replacement in my I35 and the problem only gets worse.) I, like yourself had this problem when it was cold. But now I noticed that whether its cold outside, warm outside, uneven road surfaces, etc.... the Clarion produced h.u. in the I35 will skip. (Its like having your own DJ Clue on your favorite track ALL the time.) My advice to you, do as I am about to do in the spring, yank every component thats in the stock unit out, and replace it with quality aftermarket pieces. (H.U., speakers, sub, amp(s), capacitor, wiring, etc) and Let Bose go altogether. (I know it may affect the resale value and be a little pricey, but compared to having constantly skipping daily in any weather is enough to drive me to do so.)
