Settings on Amp

I know that this is an Audio and Electronics question but would like to know if any of the 6th Gen's owners can help.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all, need help configuring the settings for my Kicker KX600.1, first time installing an amp w/ subwoofer.

I'm getting my car back on Saturday and would like to know how to setup the Amp.

First off, I am hooking up the following to the factory Bose system w/ Nav.:

Kicker Solo-Baric S12L74 Subwoofer (DVC 4 ohms x 2)
Kicker KX600.1 Amp
R/T 793-12 Sealed Enclosure made of MDF with 1.00 cu. ft. of volume.

I will be wiring the subwoofer to make into a 2 ohm load. Basically, connect the 2 negatives on the woofer and then to the negative of the amp and the same with the positive to create a 2 ohm load. I have never done this before but that is what I have read and want to do. They say that by wiring the sub that way, it will give me the full power of the amp.

Now, what I want to know is how to set the dials on the amp. There are 3 dials.

1. X-Over Freq. (hz) 12dB/Oct from 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175 & 200.
2. Gain Low Level 170mV-5V & High Level 340mV-10V from 0-11
3. Bass Boost (dB) @ 40 Hz from 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18.
And also a remote Bass Leverl Remote.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I will definitely post the pics once it is installed.

One last thing, I read on Cardomain that I will need a 4 gauge power lead for this amp but I got the amplifier kit that has an 8 gauge power lead for maximum of up to 600 watts, will the 8 gauge be ok?

For the people that have not seen what has happened to my car, take a look at the link below.
