Opinions on this system?

Hey guys,
I'm planning on doing a stereo soon. I was wondering if you think this would be a good stereo or not:
Headunit: Kenwood DPX-4010 (AM/FM/Cassette/CD - Double-DIN)
---Pic: http://pix.crutchfield.com/products/...dpx4010-f.jpeg
Speakers: Kenwood KFC-1738C (6 3/4")
---Pic: http://pix.crutchfield.com/products/...13KFC1738.jpeg
Amp For Speakers: US Acoustics USX-4065 (65W x 4)
---Pic: http://pix.crutchfield.com/products/...35USX406B.jpeg
Subwoofers: 2 10" JL Audio W3
---Specs: http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/10w3.html
Amp For Subs: Kenwood KAC-729S (300W x 1 - 100W x 2)
---Pic: http://pix.crutchfield.com/products/...13KAC729S.jpeg
My friend told me that 300W would be good for this subwoofer setup, however, I think he is wrong. If anyone could give me some more info on a better amp for the subs, I'd appreciate it. Also, any other comments on my planned setup are welcome. This will be done to my '97 SE w/ Bose system.
Thanks,
-Nick

Headunit: Kenwood DPX-4010 (AM/FM/Cassette/CD - Double-DIN)
Not a bad choice.
Speakers: Kenwood KFC-1738C (6 3/4")
Kenmwood's speakers are starting to come up. However, I would also look at Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, and JL Audio's Evolution Series. I would suggest a/d/s but I am not sure if they would be out of your price range.
Amp For Speakers: US Acoustics USX-4065 (65W x 4)
I would also look into DEI, Kenwood's Excelon Amps, MTX Thunder Amps, Orion, PPI, or JBL.
Subwoofers: 2 10" JL Audio W3
Excellent Choice.![Big Grin](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Amp For Subs: Kenwood KAC-729S (300W x 1 - 100W x 2)
Again, I would look into Orion, PPI, or JBL. You want an amp that will give you the power to drive the subs but be clean.
I am assuming that you are keeping the 6x9s for sound fill.
Not a bad choice.

The speakers I like because they are only ~$70/pair and look like they are pretty decent speakers for the price. About the JL Audio Evolution Series...where can I find more information on them? How much do they run?
The Amp for the speakers is also gonna be a keeper because I talked to a good friend of mine who has this amp and he says it's great...and I can amp the back speakers with this amp as well. It also has a really good price.
You can't change my mind about the subs. 2 10" JL Audio W3...another friend of mine has these...

As for the amp for the subs. A friend of mine told me I'd need a 300W x 1 amp for the subs I picked. The reason I'm leaning toward the Kenwood KAC-729S is because it can handle up to 600W maximum power.
6x9s? No such thing in my car. All my speakers are 6 3/4". At least, that's what I thought.
