I have a 96 GLE and I think all my problems are connected in some way, first the alarm does not work although lately it goes off whenever it wants, radio presets dont stay set, keyless does not work and I have tried reprogramming them(hazards do not go off like supposed to) and the power antenna does not work ( I found one for $20 ata junk yard still no luck). I have a suspicion it is the security brain in the trunk, but dont want to dish out $300 at the dealer for one.

Any info will be appreciated.

 

well radio presets not staying would mean a loss of power at some point.

 

Then that would probably mean my altenator is bad but it isn't, it runs fine, I have a gut feeling it is the antenna system because it ties in the alarm and radio through the same wiring.

I can add a new alarm for cheaper cost of the power antenna(dealer wants $300), but knowing it is not working is just eating me up
