Parcel deck subwoofer

i was think about placing a ten inbetween the back two speakers on the parcel deck. i think ive seen a few people do it before was wondering if it sounds good or not. I just want something that will give me plenty of trunk space looks clean and gives a little bass. I have a premier deh-p8mp 6.5 pioneer rev series components up front and rev series 6x9s in back i got rid of my jl w7 becasue it was too big and too loud and now i want something simple any feedback would be appreciated

It will sound good if you seal off the rear trunk from the cabin, around the rear deck and rear seats. very easy to do. you also need the right sub if you want to run it IB

Hey I would like to find out about this as well. Sorry about bringing this old thread back up, but I searched using google, and didn't find much. I was thinking about putting my JL Audio 12'' W3 Sub inbetween my rear speakers in the rear deck of my 4th gen. How it would sound, any rattling etc? The free air resonance on this sub is about 24Hz. Is that any good? Thanks for any help.

I don't think the W3 would work IB. Find another sub if you wanna run IB

Anyone know how the JL Audio W3 D2 sounds a regular box, not bandpass? Like one where the sub is exposed?

put a pair of jl 6w0 6.5" subs in the rear deck of my 4th gen and they sounded great, but everything rattles too much. if you deaden the rear deck it would prolly be nice, but i was in the mood to hassle with it so i just through an old school blaupunkt velocity 10" in a box.

by the way i have (2) jl audio 6.5" 6w0 8-ohm and (4) jl 6w0 4-ohm if anyone is interested in trying this. i just went crazy buying them before i tried them. i got a good deal on the 4-ohms that's why i got 4. now, i'm not going to use them.
