Brahma or Eclipse

Hey

I'm looking for one 12" sub that will hit real hard, powered by 500-600 watts.

It's going to be either the brahma or an eclipse sub.

Which would you recommend and why? I want to feel the bass inside and

outside the car. Would 1 12" satisfy this want?

hmm. if you want to feel the bass outside the car id suggest popping the trunk. but fosgatefan will chime in about his brahma 12 with under 500 watts.

i'd recommend the brahma. like slick said, i'm running under 500 to it, and it gets damn loud (given you have a good enclosure for it). click on my little gif in the sig for a vid of my sub in action. doesn't take much to get it moving.

i'd say get a good ported box, tuned to mid 30s for spl, and feed it a decent amount of power. hope you don't mind rattles.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh get the eclipse titanium sub, you wont be disappointed, cause once you feel the power of 500 -600 watts and you know the eclipse can handle more than that, you're going to want to push more power to it. eclipse is a strong sub and sounds clean and you will feel the bass out of it , given you have the proper specs for it's enclosure. now if you want to "feel" the bass outside of your car, you are gonna need more power than 500- 600 watts. more like at least 1000-1500watts before you may feel the ground underneath your car vibrate a little. 1 sub should satisfy your want to feel the bass in the car, but if you're lookin to shatter your neighbors living room windows, then you may need 2 mmats juggernauts and a zapco 9.0. good luck or you can always have one of your buddies do this to you if you really want to "feel" the bass!

power handling is dependant on enclosure size.

the eclipse is a good sub, but for the price, i'd get the brahma instead. the eclipse is around $420 and $379 for the brahma. (price given for 12" version of both models)
