Lights dim with bass...

hey, i just installed my system (2 12", cap, and amp)with a line output converter (i have Bose), and not only does my system sound muffled and unclear(i think that's more of a gain issue on my line output converter), but my lights dim with every beat...what can i do to stop this from happening and enjoy clear bass?

thanks.

Many solutions depending on how much you want to spend. Id say sell the cap and put a 2nd battery in your trunk. Or you can upgrade your battery under your hood, get an engine grounding kit, get a bigger alternator, etc. Like I said, if I were you Id pick up a yellow top and a high current battery relay. Throw those in your trunk and you should be good.

Now Kevin you know better...cant just replace a cap and add a battery...Def ditch the cap, but with the stock alt adding a battery is gonna do more harm then good.

Its better than the cap. I dunno, Ive heard plenty of systems setup like this that work fine, Chris's for example, and others done by the local shop I go to. The owner of the shop in Tampa I always go to explained his reasoning on it to me one time, using all these formulas with the alternators power and the recharge rates of the stinger batteries themselves, all all this complicated crap that was way over my head at the time. But the guy is a damn genious and I trust him, so who knows. Ill have to have him explain it again next time Im there.

Upgrade your wiring to a lower gauge and you'll be all good.
