New system in 6th Gen
New system in 6th Gen
Hi guys!
Here is what I want to do. Buy a new HU, Components, rear door speakers, rear deck speakers and a amp to power the new speakers.
My question, is what type of amp do I need? And how will I run the wires to the amp? For ex. Where will the component (in the front including tweeters) wires run to on the amp, where will the rear door speaker wires run to the amp and where do the rear deck speaker wires run to the amp? That is if I get a 4 channel amp or is there another amp with more channels?
Please assist.
Thanks!
Btw, I have a PAC converter for my subwoofer to change the factory HU to make them have RCA outputs. Since I will be replacing the HU, I guess that there should be a set of pre-amp outputs to run to the amp for the subwoofer and to run to the amp for the new speakers.
I just need a lot of help!
Thanks!

depends on what you get. COMPLETELY!!! A 55x4 amp might be good depending on your choice of speakers. Ill be running an ARC 4150XXK with the Rainbow Profi/kickbass, and I definately know that the Alpine amp would not be powerful enough for that.
Again, whats your budget?

I was planning on doing Alpine Type-S's all the way around; in the front and rear doors and the rear deck. If I wired the amp through the factory speaker leads, would that even the power distribution from 4 channels to all 6 speakers? The Type-S's are 40 watts rms each, so that's 240 watts total rms. The Alpine pushes 220 watts total. The speakers are pretty sensitive so I figure they will play loud.
before you make your speaker decision, check out http://car.rainbow-audio.de/home/home.php?lan=3, they have plenty of different price ranges and i assure you that youll be happier with any product you purchase made by them.
