Installation help..

I have two JL audio 12inch woofers w/box + 4 channel amp. I want to hook the speakers up with my stock head unit for now because i'm low on cash. I have a 2001 SE without the BOSE system. I bought the amp wiring kit and RCA's what would the best way to hook it up. Do I have to take the stock head unit completely out or can I go through on either the driver/passenger side underneath? If I have to remove the head unit what is the easiest/best way to get it out?

you have to get to the back of the headunit to change the wiring, but then changing the wires is diffcult cause you have to run the wires all the way to the trunk, under the carpet, etc.

Yes, you will have to remove the HU. You will also have to snake the power wire through the firewall. HU removal is quite easy, can be done quite quickly. Simply remove the ashtray, pull up the shifter bezel, unscrew the lower HU/CC mounting unit, and pull it out.
