Blown Amp? HELP

My friend gave me his 1000 watt kenwood amp cuz it he thinks it doesnt work. The amp turns on but when speakers are hooked up to it it doesnt amplify or produce any sound. The fuses are fine, passed both a visual check and I tested them with a multi-meter. The amp is no longer under any warrenty. If it was blown wouldnt it not be able to turn on. Can i test the outputs with a multi-meter? any ideas?

If it were me I'd just take it to a shop, most of the time they can fix them for 50 or 60 bucks. Plus, most of the time you get a warranty with it after they fix it. Do yourself a favor and have someone who knows what they are doing fix it.
