CD player acting up

Yea, like the title says, I would just be driving along and when I brake, hit a bump, or make a sharp turn the music will stop and/or skip. The CD player also skips through songs and sometimes starts the song like a minute and a half into it. Any answers to my problem, please post. Thanks

Well it can be a few things... one your cd's look like they meet a weed eater. Or your cd has worn out.

There's a couple of options here. One you could get a can of duster, pull out your H/U and thoroughly clean it. This will help the lens move around freely again. But this will also void any warranty. So you have to be absolutly sure that's what it is. Plus it'll just happen again when it gets dirty again

Easiest thing to do is get a new H/U

What kind of CD player is it? Is it aftermarket or stock? Blose or non-Blose? In-dash or changer?

I had the same problem in my last car....I ended up getting a new head unit which took care of the problem. Cleaning the lens helped only temporarily....
