battery in trunk???

ive heard of putting a battery in the trunk if i wanted to play music without the car running. now wouldnt the battery die after a short while or is there some way to run to run the charging system back to the trunk. if there is a site that can help me out, a link would be great. thanks

You would have to hook it up to the alternator...but all in all, I would not recommend it.
