my trunk RATTLES like hell. obviously its gonna rattle when im pounding the system (2- 12'' audiobahn 400RMS w/ 1000watt fosgate amp). when i go over bumps i can hear it rattle like hell. i figured it was the music that made it rattle in combo w/ the bumps. i was wrong as ****. i'll turn the sounds off, go over the same bump and --loud as crap rattle. the trunk itself rattles from road imperfections. it sounds like the trunk isnt making a proper seal when closed and is shaking left/right and making the sound.
also, my spoiler rattles reaaal bad. i cant hear it rattle when im driving, but when the subs are going or when i close the trunk it rattles. it sounds like there is a rock inside the spoiler that is gettin crunk to the music.

what do i do? dynomat help? what else?

 

sound deadening your trunk would help. but sounds like something else is loose. there shouldn't be any rattling when you're going over bumps.

 

Check and make sure your factory jack is in tight. I had the same problem for a while and that caused my rattle. Not sure how it got loose. Also check your spare tire well and make sure nothing in there is loose.

 

My trunk does that as well. I found out where the trunk torsion bar connected to the rear deck had split the rear deck. Now I need to weld that spot and sound deaden th crap out of it. You are not alone. We are all victims of the rattle.

 

Are you sure the sound is coming from your trunk, becuase there is a heat shield on the cat and that rusted off my car so it was rattiling around every single bump i went over...I thought it was something in my trunk aswell but I was wrong...

 

the rattle is definetly coming from the rear of the car.
