Sirius has more everything - more sports, talk radio (Stern!), news, music and costs less. XM requires you to pay for premium stations which is total BS. XM tried to merge with Sirius awhile back, which was refuted by Sirius, so it kind of tells you where the market is going...

I am a big fan of Stern, news, and metal...sirius satisifies all of that quite nicley.

According to the sales guy at Best Buy, both XM and Sirius cost the same now. (13.95 a month) I can't stand Howard Stern so my vote went to XM.

Sirius wins.

Discounts on multiple receivers
No "premium" channels, you get it all
Web streams included
Better programming all around, music & talk

Actually I will probably get Sirius instead of XM sometime in the future. Right now I don't have either. I just installed my DVD player and video screen so I've been listening/watching mostly music video DVDs.

Dj, we all know listening to BB emplyoees can be dangerous to our mental health.

Did you have to deal with all the crap-as$ backup on 130 from the 295 accident today?

Nope....
I work in Wilmington so I go south on 295. All the problems were northbound... I guess I lucked out.

You suck. It was backed up to exit 295 by the time I hit it.

Isn't that a hella long drive?

I know. I was going to work and it was backed up for something 5 miles on 295 and 130 was even worse.

From my house to my work it's 29 miles. (and with 295 and 495 both 65 speed limit) It takes me less than 1/2 hour to get to work in the morning.

from what i was told from a rep of XM radio, XM and sirius are merging so there will be more premium channels and more channels all around and price was to be said around 15 bux a month. I have XM and i love it.

only downside of sirius is no BASEBALL games, BOOOO sirius!

as for music, so much variety, i have to agree with u boyz.

for music, go sirius (the hip-hop channels are pretty ok, but the DJs are corny).

for sports, i would pick XM.

such shame on sirius for not providing me with my METS games.....bah!

for the sake of info...

xm now has discounts on multiple recievers
no more premiums
free web streaming

and programming... ehh, it's debatable. XM's top 40 blows hardcore, but their rock channels are better than sirius' imo.

Pretty much it's a toss up either way. I have both currently, but when the price jumps when stern comes on to sirius I will be dropping it.

I did not know that...

I haven't heard Liquid Metal in a long time, but I doubt it could even come close to Sirius's Hard Attack for the best metal programming you will ever hear.

And Sirius and XM are NOT merging...
