Word of advice: Errors with 2002/03 6-disc in 2000/2001

Well, aside from the CD tray jamming and not opening up, everything was indeed plug and play. It was the biggest b*tch to remove the cage screws and release the OEM player from the cage. Anyways, the steering controls will work, but it'll be really messed up.

The volume buttons do nothing. You CANNOT change tracks, as the track shuffle buttons will control the volume. What's worse is that pressing down on the track button raises the volume UP. And pressing down raises it up.

You could always switch the wires inside the steering wheel control.

Swap out for an 02/03 steering control unit, or find out the resistances on each wire and rewire your current one for the new radio. It should be easy going from 5-6 wires down to 2-3.

About the cds jamming, I think thats more on the radio than the actual swap. I hate those screws which hold the radio in. I ended up having to drill out 6 of them because they wouldn't come out.
