Finally got a new amp

I doubt any of you guys remember any of my posts, but for a few months i have been askin about various amps because i was not at all pleased with my kenwood kac-7201. well after talkin to a friend who is redoing his system, he offered me his rockford fosgate 1200 watt amp for $120 with 3 years left on the service plan. i bought it off him and installed it last night, finished tweekin it today and so far i am very pleased. sounds much cleaner and i think it looks way better. i havent really been able to go out and bump it yet because i am stuck home but i will find out just how loud it is later tonight. here are some pics of the install, i also made sure i did a real clean wireing job on this.

any of you guys have this amp? how do you like it?

That isa very nice amp, I had the 401s and ran it at 2 ohms bridged for almost a year in my sisters car before I sold it to a friend. It should get warm bridged but not burning hot. Maybe you have to reset your gains, did you set it with a DMM or by ear? I would recommend setting it using a DMM and bridgeing hte amp to get the most outta it.

RF amps are not stable at 2 ohms bridged. they're only stable at 4.

My point exactly, the amps can take a beating. Just make your your signal is not clipped and dont overdo the basss boost and such.

Yeah i've got a RF 1051s and after about an hour or more of driving it overheats and shuts off and turns back on every few minutes. Really powerful but heats up too quickly.
