1 12" Alpine Type R getting 350W RMS or 2 12" Alpine Type E's getting 175W RMS each?

The Type R will take up to 500W RMS and a Type E can handle up to 250W.

They'd probably in a sealed box, or maybe vented.

i'd say the type e's since there are 2 of them..imo

 

put the 2 type e's in a ported box...it'll get pretty loud.

So I take it 2 Type E's in a ported box would be louder than 1 Type R also in a ported box. Thanks, it looks like I'll have to sacrifice some trunk space.

 

no get one type r in a ported box. the type E is an entry level sub.

 

yeah, but the two type e's will have double the surface area of the type r. now unless the type r got crapload of travel, i don't think one type r can be louder than two type e's, both in ported boxes.

 

if the type R really has gotten much better id take the type R but i dont feel it has so 2 type E's ported would get ok.
